OUR STORY

Wild M Brands™ was founded by father and sons Tom Mitchell, Ben Mitchell, and Jake Mitchell in 2023. Tom spent over 34 years in the medical device industry. Ben served our nation as an Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. Jake also worked in the medical device industry before diving headfirst into our new wearable lighting adventure.

Tom and his wife Susan raised their three sons with the American values of entrepreneurism, baseball, and living the outdoor lifestyle. (Honorable mention goes to Alec Mitchell who decided to stay in the medical device sector).

Together with talented engineering, manufacturing, and marketing partners, Tom, Ben, and Jake have worked with extreme focus to develop a durable and handy tool: DEX FINGERLIGHT^™.

DEX FINGERLIGHT was invented for surgery, but Tom saw a greater benefit for bowhunting. He needed a hands-free light to safely hike and climb in darkness, but not an inconvenient headlamp that alerts wildgame.

Tom called Ben at the U.S. Marine Corps Air Station in South Carolina. Ben immediately recognized a benefit for aircraft maintenance and aviation. The mechanics, maintainers, and aviators in his squadron enthusiastically agreed: DEX is a gamechanger. Ben finished his tour and moved home with his wife to start Wild M Brands with Dad and brother, Jake.

Jake and his wife are raising newborns. They both saw the benefit of using DEX to help care for the children at night while keeping overhead lights off and minimizing disturbance. Jake also envisioned how handy DEX FINGERLIGHT would be around the house.

So, Tom, Ben, and Jake started the necessary research and development, found a much broader market for a quality fingerlight, and now have three issued U.S. patents and pending in 42 countries.
